Poems from the Bin 2

Yogurt

Q raises a finger to his temple
blows it with an index gun
”I know the truth” he shouts
like Geronimo!
and then it rains numbnuts

Mediocre Minds

It is said, most often in jest,
”great minds think alike”
but what does that say
about the masses, do folks
of lesser substance think
differently?

The Present

There’s no time like the present,
but dwell on it, and it’s gone,
present and time aren’t one.

Honesty

I wish I had better things
to say about your mother
but I’ve got nothing

To the Cows Come Home

I love ice skating and would give
your right nut to charity
if it meant I could skate to my
heart’s content. But, I’m a CEO
and busy as my neighbours
are stupid. I barely have time
for my own children.

There’s nothing I’d rather do
than sleep in every day,
skulk around the house like a fiend.
I could stay home and not give
a damn about work, but I’ve got
plenty of it here on the farm.

Forget about vegetables and fruit,
cake and ice cream is what I crave,
all things healthy hurt my sweet tooth.
But, I’m a dentist and so is my wife,
my kids are allergic to sugar. I’m down
on my luck cause I could eat candy
to the cows come home.

Poetry saves lives
is not a lie
an exaggeration
perhaps
but true
in many ways

who’s to say

Stella by Semen

she calls herself
a doctor but I
would call her
a quack
she looks like
a quack
she sounds like
a quack
ergo she must be
a quack
