Is a term that emerged as a response to the ludicrous notion of white people identifying with a race to which they do not inherently or phenotypically belong. It is a deconstruction of the transracialism that has emerged in the west by white people, such as Dolezal and London, exercising an insidious white supremacy and privilege.
This race switch opportunism is transracist, for it is not a gesture out of respect or flatter for any given race. On the contrary, it is an insult because it is devoid of any depth of understanding and knowledge about the lived experience of the people belonging to that ethnicity. When it comes to the racial experience of any ethnic minority in the west, that experience cannot be assumed by the ethnocentric westerner. The nonchalant ignoring of this fact is not just transracist, it is racist by wilful exclusion of the acknowledgement of unassumable heterogeneity.
Transracism is an egomaniacal act that purposefully disregards not only the personal histories and experiences of the people of the appropriated race but science, reason, and logic, as well. It is a racial power play. The appropriation of race is transracist.
Derivative of the appropriation of the term transracial, which has a historical origin and implementation in transnational and transracial adoption discourse. Transracial does not and will never denote or connote Dolezal’s and other self-proclaimed transracists’ usage of the word.
Tranracialism is race appropriation. Race cannot be separated from the space-time experience of race i.e. when and where race becomes an issue (usually meaning bad experiences for ethnic minorities).
Transracialism is an extension of white privilege, a self-asserted freedom to assume a race identity comparable to the annexation of a sovereign nation.
Transracialism is a whimsical and insultingly farcical self-proclamation of race transference. It is by and large a western phenomenon.
